Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Self-Host Hub ("we," "us," or "our") operates Self-Host Studio ("the Platform"), a self-hosted workflow automation platform. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Platform and our website.

2. Self-Hosted Architecture

Self-Host Studio is a self-hosted platform. This means:

  • Your data stays on your infrastructure. Workflow data, credentials, user accounts, and all content processed through workflows are stored on servers you control.
  • We do not have access to your instance data. We cannot see, access, or retrieve data stored on your self-hosted deployment.
  • You are the data controller. As the operator of your self-hosted instance, you are responsible for data handling, retention, and compliance with applicable privacy laws.

3. Information We Collect

3.1 Website and Community

When you visit our website or join our community, we may collect:

  • Account information: Name, email address when you join our community
  • Usage data: Pages visited, browser type, referring pages (via standard web analytics)
  • Communication data: Messages and support requests you send us

3.2 Self-Hosted Platform

The self-hosted Platform itself does not send data to us. All data remains on your infrastructure. The Platform may make outbound requests to:

  • Third-party APIs: When workflows execute steps that call external services (e.g., TikTok, YouTube, OpenAI). These requests go directly from your server to the third-party service.
  • OAuth providers: When users authorize third-party accounts (e.g., Google, TikTok). These requests follow standard OAuth flows between your server and the provider.

4. Third-Party Integrations

When you connect third-party services through the Platform, data flows directly between your self-hosted instance and the third-party service. We are not an intermediary in these data flows. Each third-party service has its own privacy policy:

  • TikTok Privacy Policy
  • Google/YouTube Privacy Policy
  • OpenAI Privacy Policy

You are responsible for reviewing the privacy practices of any third-party services you connect to your Platform instance.

5. How We Use Information

We use information collected through our website and community to:

  • Provide access to the Platform source code and updates
  • Respond to support requests and community questions
  • Send product updates and announcements (with your consent)
  • Improve our website and documentation

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information only:

  • With your consent
  • To comply with legal obligations
  • With service providers who assist in operating our website (e.g., hosting, analytics)

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable security measures to protect information collected through our website. For your self-hosted Platform instance, security is your responsibility. The Platform includes security features such as:

  • AES encryption for stored credentials
  • Organization-level data isolation with Row-Level Security
  • OAuth 2.0 for third-party authentication
  • Audit logging for accountability

8. Data Retention

We retain website and community data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. For your self-hosted instance, data retention is controlled by you as the operator.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information
  • Opt out of marketing communications
  • Data portability

To exercise these rights regarding our website or community, contact us through our community page. For data on your self-hosted instance, you have direct control as the operator.

10. Cookies

Our website may use cookies for basic functionality and analytics. Your self-hosted Platform instance uses session cookies for authentication. No tracking cookies are included in the Platform software.

11. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

12. International Data Transfers

As a self-hosted platform, your data resides wherever you deploy your instance. Our website and community services are operated from the United States. If you access these services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
